Thanks so very much, Tommy & AAM. This was a Zoo outing, all the very best and newest clothes would be worn on this very exciting occasion.

Very cute!

What can I add? This is a wonderfully effective and involving portrait of two engaging kids and such animated faces. Hard to imagine anything better.

Thanks so very much Brent, Christakis & CJ. Rod one thing is, I am clever enough to avoid any comments, about your gorgeous bunch of Canon ladies.

What a couple of cuties Jill! You did a great job with the picture bringing out those adorable little faces and expressions from that colorful background.

These little guys remind me and my brother when we were little. I like what you've done with the background considering your time-frame. Very nice indeed. Rod, the "Canon girls" will hunt you down one day... Don't tell me I didn't warn you ;)

This little team really is adorable Jill, well seen and taken- especially considering it was a spur of the moment thing as you describe.

It all sounds like rocket science to me Jill you must be very brainy, unlike the Canon girls:-)

Rod thanks for the compliment and the critism , it is understandable that you are distracted. Daniel I could follow you perfectly :-)

This is an interesting case to analize and discuss. I have a similar situation in my entry but not such an "hostile" background regarding to its colours. In cases like this a use to build an alpha channel to control the "lens blur" filter instead of gaussian blur, to avoid getting halos in foreground contours and get different blur intensities according to distance from the subject in the image. A second blur stage applying "box blur" filter could be needed to destroy de color details in the background. Lowering the background contrast could help too. I use PS CS2. Daniel.

Two little darlings, what a wonderful capture Jill. I love the look on their faces.
The blurring on the background didn't quite work for me as I still find Mum in the background a wonderful distraction:-)

Thanks Debi, Penny & Daniel... the background was difficult as the place was crowded, and I did not have a chance to isolate these two... just had to grab the moment.

What a sweet faces we have here Jill, great found!. More, I think you did a good PP work dealing with the background, it was not an easy one. Daniel.
