thanks tv and aam. This kid was so animated that it was hard to pull myself away.

Delightful is a good word to use here. Well done, Penny.

Rod might be signalling he is ready for a skinny crop. This image is beautifully processed to give the just the right emphasis to the kid. The dynamic action provided by the chairs provides a compelling sence of liveliness and action as a reflection of the emotional interaction between the mother and child.

thanks Jill, Carole and Debi for the nice comments.
And thanks Rod too for the clarification. Square is fun.

What a delightful scene and a nice mood in BW. I repeat you are doing us proud and obviously able to walk around a great deal better.

Very cute picture of mother and son and a lot of affection and love shown in the little boy's face. The bag on the chair even seems to say "love"! The B&W conversion looks good and the DOF works well to keep the attention on the main subjects. Nice shot!

There's just something with me about square crops. I think it stems from seeing too many picys on the internet that don't lend themselves to a square crop, it's something in the composition. It might be like the Flickr tilts where people were just doing it on any picy to add a difference instead of photographing a difference. Some picys work so well tilted as we saw in the challenge Tommy ran & it's much the same for square crops. Some picys just cry out to be tilted or square cropped & this might be one of them. It works really well.

Penny, delightful... even love the little foot placed on it's side, whilst he animatedly talks to Mom. He is giving her his full attention.... with obvious affection !

Thanks Daniel and Rod - what's the matter with square crops?

This is very good a, the B&W looks really good with nice rich blacks & tones up to white. The posture of the kid looks great & really adds a nice feel to the picy. I even don't mind the square crop so this must be good:-)

Another excellent entry Penny. More, I think B&W conversion was a clever decision here. Daniel.
