Thanks Chris, Carole and Daniel :-) That's not me doing the hugging Daniel, but it is my nephew who people seem to think looks a lot like me. I planned to do this little side trip overnight camp in the desert on my own and it was nice to find out he could join me at the last minute and great that he was eager to model for me too and do a little acting because that tree was really quite scratchy.

Give for sure it looks OK Brent. How did you achieve this loving expression in your face?. Thinking of beer?. Daniel.

Great nature shot and we're all a bunch of tree huggers in CA. I love the look of those Joshua trees. Nice textures and colors in the tree, brush, and rocks Brent, and your nephew definitely has a look of love on his face! ;-) I'm looking forward to seeing nice blue skies like this again when we return to sunny CA.

Looks really nice Brent. Haven't seen a sky like that for ages. If you think red is bad try living with grey all day.

Thanks Rod mate :-) No polarizer used and the sky looks pretty good on my laptop anyway. That's my nephew (the tree hugger) and I'm down in California visiting my Mum. She just told me to tell you to visit California if you want to see a nice blue sky because you crazy Aussies are used to having red dust in your sky ;-)

I think that tree has seen far too much tree hugging by wear scars just below his arms. I think true love is more meaningful when you hug a cactus a.
Great shot for the topic Brent, well done. The sky looks a bit overdone down here (Poss a polariser) but the rest looks really good.
