Awesome work. But its not Batman I would expect in the shot, but Superman in Metropolis. Look, up in the sky...

kiki, just kidding (trying to distract Rod from a dreaded conversation on the other kind of pp).
Honestly, these threads are really all I can handle.

Penny!!! My.. what? Are you fishing for an email addie? You already know half of one, the rest is the customer domain of Norway's largest commercial ISP :)

Before I even read some of the comments, Gotham City sprang to mind - maybe because we watched one of the Batman movies just a couple of weeks ago. Lots of mood and drama in this shot, Penny, with the combination of the light and shadows -and the oblique angle.

Thanks Carole and, no, I don't have any Topaz yet. (I'm not sure I can even remember what I did - well, for a price I might remember something but I'm too afraid Rod might be listening)
Thanks Helen - drama is part of my life.
Kiki!!! my pp!!!

Another interesting reflection shot Penny. Did you use Topaz Adjust for the gritty Gotham city look?
 (27/10/2009 @ 12:04:43 EDT)
This is stunning, made all the more dramatic by the B&W.

I like it! Gotham, N.Y. Nicely composed also; top, bottom and perspective.

thanks - I'm still contemplating this one meself...

sorry, I like the processing on this. distinctive.

Between you and TV, I am starting to believe that NY has some serious glass use there. I guess stone, brick and wood are on their way out. A very 3D reflection.

Nice to see you experimenting Penny, but I can't say this processing hits on all cylinders for me either. Kind of looks like it was printed on old recycled paper...
 (25/10/2009 @ 08:09:44 EDT)
Thanks Dougy and Daniel.
And thanks for your opinion, Rod - you're right it's high rise, not high contrast. Maybe I need to use some bleach.

It doesn't look high contrast to me as it's mostly blacks & greys with no whites.
Maybe I will have to come back to the CTF to stop you from straying from the chosen path. This isn't my cuppa tea Penny & I hope it's not yours:-)

I follow Doug here, high contrast works very well in this image. Daniel.

The high contrast b/w conversion suites the image well. This image really holds my attention. -Doug
