Thanks Carole:-) The skull was an exercise to learn the bone structure so as to understand better how to do a face properly........I didn't help:-) Hehe poor ole Brent has one weeks cooking duties:-)

I thought this was one of Mereana's creations - now why did she make a skull? Inquiring minds want to know. ;-) I've done a little pottery work in the past and it's not easy so I'm quite impressed with her efforts. I'm sure Brent has some nice healthful recipes to cook up for Mereana though ........ after he takes his foot off his typing fingers! ;-) Good idea here and well photographed with that nice new camera.

Hehe you might just get away with that explanation Brent:-) Of course the teeth would be a dead give away to you of all people a. Mereana has accused me wide angle lens of distorting the mouth (I know I know 200mm:-), I think we might just leave it at that:-)

You have to understand that cheesy means good in the Pacific Northwest Rod (in other words I can't delete the post). Keep in mind what I do for a living and you will understand that I was being hyper critical about the teeth of the skull. Oh alright, so what kind of things do I have to cook for the next week? Do I have to wash the dishes too? :-)

Thanks Brent:-) I hope you can delete your post Brent as Mereana made the skull when she was learning pottery, You could end up doing the cooking for a whole week:-)

Oh yes poor Rod, Mereana really cracks the whip with you and forced you to get that new camera ;-) That has to be the cheesiest fake human skull I have ever seen, but it does make for a nice spin on the topic a :-)

Thanks Jill & Daniel:-) Mereana is terrible to me Jill, as soon as I'm a bit naughty she thinks up a punishment. Just because I can't win a challenge she made me go out & buy the Canon 7D:-) The Tango does work great Daniel but I do feel a little tired after the dance, I need a passive fix:-)

Rod, I had no idea that Mareana was so hard on you....I hope I do not get the same treatment from Ernest, only thing is 'He' is responsible for the new cam. Just tell your good lady that your creative juices will be affected, if she punishes you too much. Certainly at the moment they are in high gear :-).and life is for the living.

Mereana said as you seem so nice Daniel she has allowed me back on the computer. IF I take her away for a romantic weekend, I said OK. Then she told me we leave this Friday morning & will get back on Tuesday....gulp. I can manage romance on one of the two days of a weekend but what will I do for four days. Anyone know of some vitamins or magic potions that will make me romantic for more than one day:-)

I'm already on cooking duties Penny, any other ideas:-)

Tell Mereana that you'll cook dinner for the whole weekend. I think she'll let you off.......

It's me that needs to be sorry Daniel as I let my sensitivity over this issue cloud my judgement. I've been accused in the past that I keep posting picys to see which ones the voters will like best so I thought you were saying I wasn't being fair to the others. I told Mereana what happened & she has restricted my computer use to only 1/2 hour a day for one week to teach me not to jump to conclusions. So thanks for getting me into trouble Daniel:-)

Thanks Penny, Daniel & John:-) The trouble is John my timing is very bad & my worst picys go into the voting:-)

I like Rod's steady stream of pictures. It is always interesting to see which ones he will finally settle on.

Daniel, to give you background, our last challenge site had a gallery called the "pending gallery" where all the pictures went that didn't qualify, etc., or people posted and then decided against, or whatever (after the end of the challenge, the whole gallery was deleted). Anyway, it should have been called the Rod gallery because he was the one who filled it up with his own images that kept revolving out of the main gallery !!! On another note, maybe this is the time to add that you are doing a terrific hosting job!
Rod, I'm so happy that you're feeling so prolific - the new camera is doing wonderful things!!!

Hey dear Rod I was kidding!!!. I have been involved in challenges from 2006, but this is the first time I host, so I really must say thank you because of your high grade of participation that makes me feel very comfortable acting as a host. Too many entries donīt annoy me at all, Iīm glad of that. Imagine the opposite situation: first time hosting and just a few entries... About winning, the most valuable price for me is improving my skills learning from the others, so Iīm sorry about what I wrote below, it was a joke and I hope things are more clear now. :-). Daniel.

Thanks Penny & Daniel:-) I don't enter challenges to win Daniel, it's just the fun of the picys & chat I want. The reason for posting so many picys is because I have the new camera. If I was posting to win I wouldn't have got rid of a better shot to post this one would I? If it annoys people I will stop but after one more posting as the ones I have up now are not what I want to run with. Or better still if I can keep on posting picys I can ask people not to vote for mine when voting comes or I could just delete them just before voting, that would work even better a.

Rod I noticed you have kept a high grade of participation in this challenge, but there is no need to kill inocents for getting more chances to win. Daniel.

Okay then. I really like this. The detail is terrific. Lovely bits of life rising up and shining through. And "death comes in all its innocence not unlike a child. Its movement and touch more random than we might have imagined."
