In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin yang is used to describe how seemingly disjunct or opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, giving rise to each other in turn. Many natural dualities — e.g. dark and light, female and male, low and high — are viewed in Chinese thought as manifestations of yin and yang.

Great opposites in more than one way with the colors and shapes - also round objects on a flat surface! ;-)

Love the brilliant color and lighting here, and opposites on several levels.

Hey Brent try the same idea but golden & black beer instead of vinegar and oil. If not success, you can punish these rebel liquids having your stomachic acids to destroy them. No mercy. Daniel.

Very nicely captured and a perfect symbol for the topic. I actually was hoping to create one of these symbols in a vinegar and oil shot I posted, but the two substances had minds of their own.

Elegant, good tones and well executed.

Although both yin and yang are included in the symbol itself by being black & white opposites of equal area inside the circle, I like that you included another symbol in an opposite manner. I agree that this nice picture is much truer to the symbol of yin yang but I think the other picture in the challenge encompasses the full meaning of yin yang by including both land based and sky based elements.
