Nikon D700 using Nikon's Creative Lighting system. A Nikon SU 800 remotely fires a Nikon SB 900 in a small softbox on a boom stand.

Todd this is a wonderful capture, the dramatic colouring of the skies, enhancing the beauty of the scene.

Very nice lighting. I kinda wish your beautiful model was looking at the camera but still a very nice portrait. Very dramatic sky with that beautiful red color too.

Very dramatic shot, Todd! Nice lighting control.

The lighting makes her look almost 3D. Great use and control of the flash.

The colors look great and your lighting strength was perfect to even it out with the background. Maybe if it were more diffused it might have been better for the model? -Doug

The more I look at this, the more I like it...

Wow, that lighting is great (as is the light behind her). Nicely done!

What a hot setup. I have never gotten flash right ... especially as nice as your other picture. For this picture, I feel like the flash overpowered the other ambient lighting due to a darker metering situation. This could be overcome in PP if not for the pixels on her right cheekbone going beyond FFFFF.

Excellent use of the flash system Todd, well done mate. I suppose the ambient light can affect the outcomes you get but if you could have got the same softer light from your other picy of the bloke it would have been more flattering on this lovely lady. Nicely done.
