What a lovely picture. Much praise. I'm not a big pp fan either but what you have created here is special.

You brought out some really nice texture in this one Doug.

You should have seen how muted the colors were before I smacked them around with PS.

The muted colors really works here.

even its heavenly PPed i love the film look it gives as final result !!

Thanks Penny and the consistent colors are the main reason I started tweaking to begin with. Here in Colorado we are in the season of brown that will last until late March early April. Breathing life into this picture was the goal. Don't worry Rod there are plenty of people around here that can teach you to point and click a masterpiece. -Doug

There is an art to this and many times I don't like it but this time I do.
I think it's because, overall, the colors are so consistent.

No leave it as it is & we can see how many votes it gets. If it gets more votes than my picys you can teach me how to do this PPing:-)

A big thank you to Jill and Helen for the comments. No worries Rod I'm still on your side. Photography first and foremost and leave the computer generating to the bad guys. But I do enjoy a dabble in the post processing world every now and then. How about a compromise and I run this through PS again to burn the shadows? -Doug

I like all the earthy colors in this, and great subject. Nice light and shadows as well.

I find this very pleasing, and certainly nothing wrong with the PPing ( on my monitor). The Winter colouring all blends so well.

I'm not sure your work is done Rod with Daniel and John's kind words and encouragement pushing from the other direction. Thanks so much for the comments guys. -Doug

As long as yee feel shame then my work is done:-)
 (12/11/2009 @ 00:03:36 EST)
Thanks John and Rod. No HDR but I'll admit that it is heavily processed and I do feel shame. But hey, it pops! -Doug

Maybe a bit too poppy as it looks like our Dougy has ventured onto the HDR road to oblivion. There's way too much details in the shadows, if I can call them shadows. Shame on you, you bad person:-)

This is my favorite of your four ... it really pops
