Excellent work, mate! Figured out who the shooter probably was just from the thumbnail. A lot of "signature" photos entered in this round.

Really nice shot Brent. The shoreline acts as a nice leading line as does that big wave. The tones look lovely and the detail is great as is the blurry water. I like those little trees on the hill - they add a lot to the already good composition.

I did realize that 0.4 sec could do such a good blur job for an in-rushing wave. The wide angle does a lot for this shot.

Thanks Rod and Tom, you guys are very kind :-) I have a lot of fun searching around for these kind of shots and am always amazed at what a difference moving a tripod up, down, or to the side just a little bit can make to the look of a capture. This has me thinking I really should do more experimental hand held shots before plunking down my tripod thinking I have the best POV.

Well done Brent. It is so worth the time and attention to use a tripod and get the maximum detail out of a good lens. Timeless quality almost like an old view camera shot.

Excellent picy & dtails here Brent & well worth the effort a. I meself drive 1000s of miles to get good picys but for you confining yourself to one city this looks awesome mate:-)

Thanks Rk but no this is the same image I originally posted. Maybe these duotones get better every day as they age? :-)

Brent, did you post a revised version?. This one looks very good.

This is indeed along Magnolia Hill Ivan, but this is Smith Cove a mile or so south of Discovery Park. It's down past the far end of the boat marina and Palisades restaurant and tucked away where few people think to go. Not a bad place to visit but don't let your kids play on the rocks as they are slippery and dangerous.

Out of curiosity, was this shot at Discovery Park?

Thanks guys :-) I'm not sure this shot was worth almost busting my head for (those rocks are slippery!) but I was pretty happy with the way this came out.
Yeah, some of those Sony phones are more camera than phone Daniel and I expect one could squeeze a decent shot out of them.

What about a Sony mobile?. ;-)

Yeah, me too I like it. Perfect shutter speed and excellent composition. Ivan.

I like the way that textures in the water seems to copy the sky ones. Daniel.
