Taken in the center of the City of Johannesburg. This man was camera shy.

The lovely comments in the photo, Dark and Lovely combined with Commissioner Street and this curious fellow with a bucket on his head make an intriguing combination.

What a great capture, Jill! The entire scene is fascinating on its own, but that bucket is superb. Well seen and captured!

I'm really liking this Jill. The framing on the bottom edge is great and even the bucket head fits the theme of the image. -Doug

Thanks Kiki, well first of all he lifted it and drank from the bucket. I think it may have had water in it, and from the neat suit he is wearing, I would take a guess he is a security guard, so probably had been there all night and needed to have something to quench the thirst.
I should explain that 'Black like Me' is a range of cosmetics specifically for the darker folk.
'Dark & Lovely' is also a range of hair products for the same market.

Dangerously funny, bordering to surreal. Unique find, lovely colors, and the guys shyness seems to be in wild contradiction to the writings on the wall. But where did the bucket come from? It's not a very common replacement for a suitcase.. is it his "soapbox"?

Thanks so very much to you all.

I'm enjoying the juxtaposition of the sign "Dark Lovely" and the man hiding his face. Good capture.

This is perfect. I love the graphic feel to this yet knowing it's real adds a whole new dimension. Quite charming.
Love the colors and the framing too.

The great colours combined wiv the kerb makes for a great picy yet we have the added bonus of this bloke who's behaviour looks quite surreal. Excellent picy Jill.

What a fun catch!. Did he get inspiration from the "silent bell" that used Maxwell Smart?. Daniel.

Terrific shot! The gate itself is rich enough to make an image. But as the gentleman creates his own inside this is brilliant! All happening in Commissioner Street!
