Very nice, Rod, I especially like the high contrast finish in this. Looks a bit eerie and it's definitely on topic! Good show mate ;)

Perfect for the theme and a really striking capture.

This one wow's me. I tiny tree isolated in an ocean. Seemingly impossible but on display here. Well done.

This is probably a mundane place to most observers but you've created an edgey illusion - again. Powerfully surreal and dramatic in noirish bw. Quite a unique and memorable piece here mate.

Thanks Ron:-) It's a bit of a loner as the main mangrove is about 30 meters away.

This is the first tree-surrounded-by- expanse-of-water pic I,ve come across, & its very effective.

Thanks Debi, Penny & Daniel:-) You may have seen this tree before Penny as I've taken shots of it at low tide when it's left high & dry. After weeks of teasing us we got a little rain last night & hopefully there's more to come.

I feel like I know this tree somehow. Maybe it reminds me of Charlie Brown's Christmas.

I like this one- it seems as if the water is rushing to meet the tree - so thats its not alone any more

Perfectly in topic Rod!. The b&W conversion adds drama to the picture...and I like it very much. Also, the water space you let in front of the tree works very well here, so the "portrait" orientation of the frame (instead of "landscape" orientation) was a clever decision (at least for my taste).
