Thanks Helen - I wish I hadn't tried them & that they were still on show.

Great composition, and very striking against the black background. You ate them? I thought they were just for show ;-).

Thanks Tom & Doug. I did select the apples for their ' looks ' - when it came to eating them though, the red ones were fluffy tasteless rubbish ( Braemar ). Green one was good - Granny Smiths always are.

Ron if we talk about beer, I´m a heavy guy. I used to training myself making scuba diving in beer...

The hard thing about setups is finding nice fruit. Terrific, tasty looking apples, even the outcast. Nicely photographed.

No worries Daniel. I had no idea what you were talking about but decided you must have been drinking alot of beer ( under doctor's orders of course because of the heat )

God thinking Ron!. Nice vivid colours and I like the reflections in the silver plate. By the way, I deleted a commentary I put here by mistake confusing "Ron" by "Rod". So I offer my excuses to you... Daniel.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Rod I think you are probably right & I am kicking myself for not thinking of it - too late now though. JP - of course this is a Kermit inspired pic - glad you twigged. John you mentioned the possibiliy of having to pawn your camera, I hope this hasn't happened & you have a brainwave.

Good idea nicely executed. Rods idea also merits a thought.

Good thinking, really. I've been trying to think like this all week, but I can't get my brain in gear. And then, after the thinking was over, you did an excellent job of actually shooting your idea. I'm really overwhelmed and funktified by this; I feel so isolated from my camera.

Yes if Ron keeps taking picys this good he will have to move up to a Canon a Jill:-) The colours of the apples really ses it all but for extra impact I wonder if the green apple had its stalk more pointing down would it enhance the feeling of rejection/isolation. Such a nice looking picy wiv such dark undertones, eg I often eat green apples but I wouldn't want my daughter to eat one etc etc. Well done Ron.
