Indeed. In my book it's called talent.

I love all the different textures/shapes in the leading lines. You've caught the rain perfectly too, spot on timing. An excellent shot.

Wonderful details, so much to enjoy. The dampness and cold been perceptive.

yes the leading lines and repetition make this one special. Love the effect the raindrops lend here too. Great work Tom.

Lots of repeated patterns here, which make the photo, imo, an excellent one. The people there is what makes the photo stands out. Good work, Tom.

The colours really suit this & makes me really glad I don't have to get up for work any more. I like the bright light with the train disappearing off into the distance & think it works great for this picy. Two great picys to end the year a.

I'm not quite sure what fascinates me about this image, perhaps the roof structure with rain pouring through it (or perhaps pouring down where you were standing), but really an excellent capture. I love the trains just off in the distance and the signal lights as well.

Dreary winter scene that reminds me of why we stay in CA and only return to the North in the summer! ;-) There is light at the end of the tunnel though as the days are getting longer, so can spring be far behind? Good composition and the inclusion of the falling snow/rain increases the cold, damp feeling.

Thanks John, yes this kind of weather (actually the really cold blustery kind we're having now) is driving us to think of retirement to warmer climes. Thanks Debi love your avitar maybe I should do one too. Thanks Martin this old terminal is full of atmosphere indeed.

Deceiving to the eye a bit with the snow there... love this, it has a sort of dreary atmosphere and the people emphasize that! Also proves that "centered" images work perfectly in many instances ;)

the darkness of the rain and the light at the end, nice one Tommy

Cold and snowy and miserable. Nice. The jet stream is scheduled to angle south by Thursday bringing the blue norther to our southern skies with temps in the teens. Not looking forward to it ... I grew up in the winters of Chicago ... then moved to Phoenix in the middle of high school. Prefer the latter. Moved to North Texas to straddle them both. The weather you are having ... I still remember after all these years. It is too bad the end of the platform is so white/bright which washes out the snow/sleet ... otherwise we would feel this on our faces shivering as we stand here waiting for you to take the shot.
