Thanks for the comments. Yes, Eagles are in abundance in the area. I was out yesterday and saw more than a Dozen and was able to get in a couple good shots. I now have quite a portfolio of Eagles in their natural habitat.

Oh well she will have to go for a little one next time ... I like how they flare their wings on the instant the hit.

Excellent action shot Troy and great detail in the feathers and water. Do the eagles winter in your area? Surprisingly, some do in N.MN. and the fishermen put the remains of their catch out on the ice for them, although there is some open water also. Being scavengers, they have enough to eat even in winter in MN.
