Hi Helen. Thank you kindly. Nice to know you liked the shot.

Hi Cjin. Thank you for your valued comment. Only in China can they line up like soldiers :-)

This is beautiful, Ernest. Well composed, great light, and love that blue.

Great looking light and shadow shot Ernest, and wonderful color! I like how all the glasses are lined up so straight like soldiers and all facing the same direction.

Hi TV. Sorry is I caused you to dash to the refrigerator LOL. Thanks for the valued comment.

Hi Brent, LOL, only in China would they take this attention to detail :-). The folks at the bar must have thought me crazy when I started shooting :-).
 (13/01/2010 @ 23:18:55 EST)
Thanks COA. I was fortunate in being in the bar to grab the shot.

My kind of shadow.. and beer. The measure of photographic quality is how much it stimulates the senses.. in this case the Pavlovian kind. I'm suddenly soooo thirsty.

Beautiful vivid blue here Ernest. Great comp and DOF too. Looks like whoever put those glasses there used as much care as you did capturing this- all those Stella Artois labels are lined up perfectly. Excellent!

Yes the black and blue looks great. Well done.

Well Penny , I think Rod is pretty smart...he knows already that I take the best pic's ( he he he...Hope Ernest does not see this :-)
 (12/01/2010 @ 22:55:59 EST)
aam1234, Thank you. I was delighted to see the blue as well. Alopa, thanks. This is also my favorite, even in China LOL. Rod, the colour does work for this one :-). Ron, Penny is correct, the little paper covers are to prevent something nasty (as you find in China) from falling into the glasses. Penny, The bar was Ritzy, the Chimelong Hotel won the 2009 award for the best theme hotel in China. John, you are correct, blue Stella, mmmm not nice LOL.

I did not change my clock on the Cam from South African to China time, so 6 hours needs to be added :-)

Those Stella glasses are getting expensive. My daughter gave me two since she knows it is one of my favorite beers. I turn mine upside down in the cabinet since I don't drink that ofter since I got on the pounds kick. Blue is good. Dark blue is even better. Dark Blue Stella ... I don't think so.

Rod, what are you saying? Or are you Mereana? Or am I totally confused.
The glasses have lids to keep the dust out. Must be either a very ritzy bar or one that doesn't get frequented very often.
Love the picture, especially the color but the dof is pretty awesome too.

Wot a wonderful picy Jill, I don't know how you take such a manly subject as glasses in a bar & turn it into something so feminine wiv a nice matching border. You make a great counterpoint to Ernest's manly B&W picys:-)

Very nice entry Ernest!. I like the perspective and this blue looks very well. Border works fine too and this is my favorite beer so everything is perfect here!.

Really like the pattern/repetition here. But most of all, my favorite color...blue.
