thanks for the comments. I really hadn't intended for the gothic look. The processing is whatever you call it when you use three shades of grey plus black in the duotone mode. I don't know why that turned the sky black but it did and I decided I like it (maybe it's what John said but I think it's more because the image is more tone-balanced and it offers more of a sounding board for the light on the French bulding).

Wonderful shot! Love how the shapes and how they merge to one pattern. The person in the wondow is also great to have.

I'm liking the horror film look to this. Well done Penny.

The man in the window is awesome. That extra little chimney thing in the main shadow is very cool. I really like how you made the sky almost building like in your composition. In my 25 year old's vernacular ... sweeet!

Striking image, Penny. Were you using a filter to get the sky so dark?

I like very much this shot, the strong contrast works very well here. These buildings remaind me Gothic City so I´m expecting Batman appears soon to rescue the woman that stands in one of the balconies on the left :-)

45th and 5th is right - wow, you know your architecture JP!
Thanks for the comments... I am so surprised I got the details I wanted in this one.

I like the strong contrasts here, and I agree, the figure in the window is super!

Great capture Penny, love the one figure in the window. Also the blinds causing the white & the other windows in black...works very well.

The comp here is a standout.. I keep trying myself too but I gotta admit she has the creative eye. Tomorrow maybe we'll do something together since the weather is easing up a bit.
