Thanks Debi (used a tripod & self timer) Martin & Jerry:-) Yes I wish I could play too Tommy but like you I ended up being a listener. When I worked for myself for a few years we had some extra money & I bought a nice stereo system that still sounds great to me about 15 years on. I've never built a speaker, the only thing I did was to stuff some wool inside an early pair. Maybe a placebo effect but I think they sounded better.

Hahaha! Mereana sure seems intent on destroying your peace and quiet, that's for sure. I have one of these (not the expensive Bosch), and they're NOISY!

LMAO! Good job mate! ;)

I wish I played something but I actually still have a hard time finding middle C on a keyboard. Instead I spent my younger years tuning home-made speakers, especially the base reflex kind with a tuned port. I think some sounded pretty good but Penny was never particularly impressed.

This is excellent Rod. Well thought out & executed. You have really nailed the theme here.

Musical instruments are just great to look at, do you or Tommy have a play of any? I used to play a little guitar badly but was a dab hand on the organ when we had one (automatic backing rhythms turned on of course):-) Sounds like you are overloaded with instruments too.
 (11/02/2010 @ 11:41:48 EST)
10 guitars and 2 saxophones - that's a lot of instruments.... We have one piano, one flute, one oboe, one wooden xylophone, a drum set, a concert snare drum, a cajon, a djembe, a keyboard and all the stuff that goes with them. All of this (except the drum set) is basically stuffed into one little extra room. On our porch are all the old books and toys etc etc. We REALLY need to have a garage sale.
It sounds like things are getting straightened out for you all. Good to hear it!

The markets seem really good for Holly as she meets lots of people & has to smile a lot:-) She's really great with people so it takes her mind off of her problems for a while & even though it's hard work in the hot weather Mereana seems to be enjoying as well. They get lot's of compliments on their work from passers by & other stall holders who are mainly selling things they import cheaply from Asia so Mereana's & Holly's stuff really stands out even though it's not what you call cheap a. All in all everyone is happy how it's all turned out & Mereana has a great big area now & she hopes to get going being creative again. The picy above is us making shelves to store some of Josh's guitars as he reckons it's a lot safer here with us so he has one corner of the garage for about 10 guitars, 2 saxophones, 1 pedal & 1 lap Steele guitars, a couple of violins. His old 1971 Marshall amp head & quad box is still in our dining room but I do like looking at it:-)

Thanks Penny:-) Yes just us two all alone & loving it:-) Josh & Laura moved out about 2-3 weeks ago & they finally emptied the converted garage of all their stuff last weekend. They have got a nice little flat not too far away & hopefully they will get a bit more up & go about themselves. Josh has been over quite a lot & spends a lot of time tending the garden which he loves & it's been wonderful to see the old happy Josh that we thought had nearly disappeared. The converted garage will now be a sawing type room for Mereana & Holly to make stuff to sell at Manly markets. This is being done with the ultimate aim to try & get Holly into a routine of coming over to design & make things as a sort of therapy for her as being at the markets all day Sundays is not really profitable but they sell one or two things in a day so the stock is gradually going down giving them some money to buy new materials etc. Continued

You two are quite funny (is it JUST you two these days?). Mereana is a great teammate. These shots, imo, are the perfect reason for such a thing called a setup.

:-) Thanks Jill, Dougy & Christakis:-) The main thing I stuffed up here was I used a bounced flash off the patio roof & this wasn't very flattering for the missus with the angle she was on. She really likes the picy but I think that's because I look so handsome init a:-) Jilly you have an evil mind & the same thought process as Mereana:-)

This made my day. Very nice shot Rod, focus perfect, funny and noisy as hell. It's got all the ingredients!

How could a setup shot look so candid? Quite comical, Rod. This must have been the wife's idea.

LOL...Mareana looks like she is quite at home with that BOSCH tool, the scary guy in the back had better just behave himself...great teamwork. I like the red T.shirt just in case she slips...LOL.

Thanks Tommy:-) Trouble is the girl would be teaching me how to talk proper a:-)

Whaaaa!! Mareana run amuck with the saber saw?! This is a setup I can live with. You could have made a great Professor Higgins.
