Very effective composition -- I can hear the sound from here.

Sorry should have given more details here, this a Kathakali dance recital. Skilled dancers have such control over their feet movement that they can dance on a brass plate and maintain balance and rhythm. They can even control the sound of the ghungroo down to an individual bell. There was troupe but only the lead dancer was dancing on the plate for one of the dance items.

There was a blotch of blue between the legs which i desaturated and painted out but seem to have botched the brush strokes. This is uncropped- had been taking the legs of the dancers during the various recitals for the last to days, but this was the one I liked the most may be because of the red toe nails.

This is a culture treat! I figure the jingles are for rhythm but what is she standing on? Was it a solo performance?
I see the motion and the sound really well here - excellent colors too!

Debi this does crazy visual things to my eye. At first, my head said these are strange looking hands on that plate... then a double take and still not quite understanding what's up here. The pants seem to have rattles and full of them so I can really "see" the sound. Compositionally the gold stripe is effective leading in from the corner. So what's happening here?

Well done Debi this is great for the topic a. Did you frame this like this or have to crop? It matters not but for eye training it would be good to try all sorts of different framings at the time of the shoot then ideas will start flowing. If not you need to drink more beer:-)
