Yeah... It's curious... Here, concrete sidewalks aren't called pavement - only asphalt surfaces are. Unless one is familiar with all the colloquialisms where we all live, these kinds of mis-understandings can happen.

In England, pavement means sidewalk. But in the rest of the world, and to the less parochial English, pavement is anything that has been paved. This street has definitely been paved, and the lighting describes it well.

Cheers Penny and Jerry, I really like this shot but don't think it's any good for the challenge itself. Also, going back to what Claire said about pavements.... There's no pavements here :-)

I have to go back and check but I believe that all four of my posts were taken after the rain..... the lights here make the wet pavement glisten!

Don't know why you didn't put this one up earlier, Christakis... It's a wonderful image and perfect for the challenge. The lights look like they're set the sky.
